Salvation Questions

1.)  If you died today, are you sure you would go to heaven?

2.)  Would you let me show you a few Bible verses on how you can be sure?

There are four truths you must know in order to be sure of heaven.

                 a.    You must realize that you are a sinner:

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (Romans 3:10)

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)

               b.    You must also realize that there is a payment for sin.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so

death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12)

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

                        c.    You must then realize that Jesus paid the debt.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

 d.    You must now realize that by believing this and asking Christ to forgive you of your sin, you could be sure of heaven.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:9-13)

3.)  Would you like to pray and ask Christ into your life now?

 a.    Sample prayer:  Father, I know I am a sinner.  I need you in my life.  I believe Jesus is your son who died on the cross for my sins.  I believe you resurrected him from the dead on the third day.  I welcome Him into my life as my Lord and Savior, right now. Amen

b.    Assurance of salvation.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."(Romans 10:13)

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:13)

 c.    Tell someone about your new found faith in Christ.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."      (Romans 10:10)
